Last call for actors for Wabeno Area Players Christmas production of a readers’ theater of “It’s a Wonderful Life”. There will be two rehearsals AND a dress rehearsal between November 16-29. The Wabeno Area Players are throwing a Christmas party, and you're invited! Well, sort of - they're actually putting on a Readers’ Theater Radio Show of “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Sunday, November 30 at the Gallery Bistro in Wabeno, WI. It's a blast from the past, and they want you to join the fun! Readers’ Theater is a fantastic way to dip your toes into the Wabeno Area Players. There will be only 3 or 4 rehearsals for this show, and Carol Bartlein will direct. So, come on down and show off your skills! Leave a message at 715-473-5466 or [email protected] by November 3.

The Wabeno Area Players’ Christmas show will be a Readers’ Theater Radio Show of “It’s a Wonderful Life” It will be Sunday, November 30 at the Gallery Bistro in Wabeno, WI. Readers’ Theater is a great entry to the Wabeno Area Players! There will be 3 or 4 rehearsals for this show, which will be directed by Carol Bartlein. It's been a week since the opening night of "The Wild Women of Winedale", and the cast and crew are still enjoying the afterglow of the show! Millions of thanks to our audience members! Your warm appreciation and hearty laughter make our shows so precious for all involved in the production.
A huge thank you to the Wabeno School District. Allowing the Wabeno Area Players to use the Nancy Volk Auditorium is appreciated beyond words. It is a special place for us as Nancy was one of our founding members. She emanated a love of the arts to all whose lives she touched. The use of the facility, named in her memory, allows us to carry on her mission and ours.
Preparations are already in motion for a fantastic 2026 season! We will start the season with the comedy, "A Bad Year for Tomatoes" on March 27, 28, and 29. Save the Date Now!!!

Sunday at 2:00PM is your last chance to see a production of the comedy, "The Wild Women of Winedale," by this fabulous cast and crew. The Wabeno Area Players are expecting a large crowd, but there are still many good seats available. To avoid a long line, the box office at the Nancy Volk Auditorium at 4325 Branch Street in Wabeno, will start selling tickets at 12:00PM. Get your tickets and then enjoy lunch at an area restaurant. This show was thoroughly enjoyed by audiences on Friday and Saturday. Don't miss it!

Just three hours until the opening performance of the Wabeno Area Players' "The Wild Women of Winedale!!" The tale of Willa, Fanny and Johnnie Faye Wild is both heartwarming and hilarious. Along with their adventures are 6 other defining women who definitely have profound events that have shaped their lives. The humor and reality of these fun-loving women will make you laugh and think!!!
Showtimes are Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 at 7:00PM and Sunday, September 28 at 2:00PM. All shows are in the Nancy Volk Auditorium at 4325 Branch Street in Wabeno, WI. Tickets are available online at www.wabenoareaplayers.org and at the door starting one hour before each show.

What profound event affected and shaped your life? These "Defining Women", Doreen (Joan Sackett), Betty (Lori Mattern), Glenda (Linda Boatright) and Nora (Jenny Eakley), weave their stories through the play, "The Wild Women of Winedale," Their stories are heartwarming. whimsical, and very comical. They add to the message that no matter what happens, we can reshape circumstances and define our own lives.
The Wabeno Area Players invite you to enjoy the stories of these delightful and hilarious women in "The Wild Women of Winedale."
