🇺🇸⛳ 14th Annual Veterans Golf Outing ⛳🇺🇸

Last Monday we had a wonderful day honoring those who have served! The 14th Annual Veterans Golf Outing was another huge success, with 110 veterans joining us for a day of golf, fellowship, great food, and appreciation.

The day began with a very special moment as 101-year-old Navy Veteran Bernie Miller opened the outing with the ceremonial first tee shot, right down the middle! 🇺🇸👏 Veterans then enjoyed 18 holes at Nicolet Country Club after the commemorative ceremony before gathering for a steak dinner served by the Wabeno Lions, where every veteran also went home with a prize.

A special thank you to Lion Chuck Enders for organizing this incredible event, Lion Greg Tallier for all of his assistance, and all of the Lions members and others who helped make the day possible.

Most importantly, thank you to each and every veteran for your service and sacrifice. It is an honor for the Wabeno Lions Club to be part of a day dedicated to celebrating you. ❤️🤍💙

The Wabeno Lions Club was happy to participate in the Forest County Community Resource Fair for the first time this year!

It was a great opportunity to share a little more about who we are, what we do, and the many ways the Lions give back to our local communities throughout the year.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello and learn more about the Lions. We enjoyed visiting with you!

We also want to thank the organizers for inviting the Wabeno Lions Club to be part of this year's event and for bringing so many local organizations and resources together in one place. We look forward to participating again! 💙💛

The Wabeno Lions Club is incredibly proud to recognize Lion Paul Newton as the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award, the highest honor a Lions member can receive.

For more than 47 years, Paul has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the Wabeno Lions Club, our community, and the Lions motto, “We Serve.” His many years of leadership, service, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our club and the countless people we serve.

✨Giving back to our community is at the heart of what the Wabeno Lions Club is all about.✨

Recently, the Wabeno Lions donated food collected during our summer steak fry social to the Christian Food Pantry, helping support local families in need. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations that make such a meaningful difference in our community.

Every donation, fundraiser, and volunteer effort helps us continue living our motto: "We Serve." 💙

We recently gathered for our first summer cookout of the year, where we proudly inducted our officers for the 2026–2027 term and recognized members with Years of Service Awards, honoring those who have dedicated 10 to 40 years of service to our club and community.

A special thank you goes to Lion Greg Tallier for his outstanding leadership and dedication during his term as president. Your commitment to the Wabeno Lions Club and our community is truly appreciated.

As we begin another year of service, we're excited to continue making a positive impact throughout our community while welcoming new opportunities to serve.
