LeFeber Northwoods Camps

Hello everyone! So as many of you know 2020 started off horrible by us having our great friend and family member Tom Herbert go to the great scout camp in the sky. Now an event has been planned in his honor. This will be a great day to get together, have fun, and share stories of great times with a great man, on his birthday no less!

Here is a message from Karen Herbert as well:
“Last call to order a special Thomas Herbert Memorial T-shirt. If you have not ordered your T-shirt, please go to the three harbors council website And scroll all the way down on the right hand side to the registration. At the end of the registration form is where the T-shirt form is. We will not be ordering extra T-shirts so if you want to order one, you must get your order in no later than July 30. Thanks so much from the Herbert family.”

This is a shooting sports event but it is not exclusive to shooters. Shooting is part of the day but what it is about is getting together with each other in honor of a great friend, family, and mentor to so many.

Tom Herbert spent 30 years in the Air Force and was in Scouting for over 65 years all over the world. After retirement he returned to his home state of Wisconsin and once again joined the IMR Staff to teach shooting sports. Ricco LeFeberini, a legend among legends. When it comes to LeFeber Northwoods Camps the only name probably more known is John LeFeber himself (and even that could be debated). With all his years of service you would be hard to find someone who was not impacted and/or had some story to share of the LNC staffer. Seemingly enough knowledge, wisdom, and stories of his own to fill entire libraries and he was always more than happy to share. Despite all the information to share he was never forceful in handing it out but you could always depend on he would be happy to lend a hand however he could if asked. Thank you for teaching us, thank you for setting the example, thank you for showing us how scouters and people should enact with each other, thank you Ricco for being you. THE LeFeber Legend.

Richard E. Reinhard, known in scouting as Ricco, was born to eternal life peacefully at the age of 88 on June 4, 2017 surrounded by his family. Memorial Service will be held July 15, 2017 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in West Allis. Details will be on Holy Trinity and Shramka Funeral Home website later this week.
