A little piece of camp magic, all in one video. 🌿

From new friendships and moments of connection, this year’s camp was one to remember.

Camp is more than just a few days on a mountain - it’s a place where kids can simply be kids, find their people, build confidence, and create memories that last long after they head home.

Thank you to every camper, family member, volunteer, staff member, and supporter who made this year so special. We already can’t wait for the next adventure!

And just like that… Camp 2026 is a wrap. 🌳🔥💚

What an incredible week. A week filled with laughter, adventure, courage, connection, late nights, big feelings, new friendships, and most importantly, siblings getting to simply be siblings.

We rode horses, swam, zip-lined, played music, made art, sat around campfires, celebrated birthdays, performed on stage, made scrapbooks, took sibling portraits, and created memories that will last far beyond this week.

Today, we watched our campers head home, and while saying “see you later” is never easy, we know they are leaving with something powerful: the reminder that they belong, they are connected, and they are never alone.

To every volunteer, caregiver, donor, supporter, and person who helped make this week possible: thank you. You helped create something bigger than camp. You helped create a place where connection can take root.

Monday- the rain put a damper on archery and swim but it sure didn’t wash away the fun, joy, and excitement RK campers had with horses or adventure!

We arrived at camp Friday, and since then, our incredible volunteers have been working nonstop to get everything ready for the week ahead.

Today was filled with preparation, training, team building, laughter, and learning. Our team spent time diving into trauma-informed care, learning how to create safe and supportive spaces, and, of course, figuring out how to bring ALL the fun!

Because camp is about so much more than activities. It’s about creating a place where siblings can reconnect, make memories, laugh together, feel safe being themselves, and strengthen the bonds that distance and foster care have challenged.

And before we can help our campers connect, we have to connect as a team. 💚

Tonight, the cabins are ready. The activities are planned. Our team is tired but excited.

And tomorrow morning… THE CAMPERS ARRIVE! 🚌🎉

We cannot wait to welcome them to Rooted Kinections and begin a week full of connection, belonging, healing, ridiculous amounts of fun, and memories that we hope will last long after the bus pulls away.
