On July 25,2026 the Zeta Amicae of Virginia Beach hosted their summer planning retreat at the TCC Joint Use Library. It was a day full of fellowship, games, learning, and establishing the programs/initiatives they will focus on this sorority year.

We celebrated some birthdays, promotions, scholarship winners and an upcoming graduation for one of our own members.

The 2026-2027 sorority year will be amazing and the Virginia Beach Amicae will increase our impact on the citizens and communities in Virginia Beach even more than the previous year.

❤️🖤💚 Honoring Freedom, Celebrating Progress, Inspiring the Future 💚🖤❤️

Today, the Zeta Amicae of Virginia Beach joins communities across our nation in commemorating Juneteenth, a powerful reminder of resilience, freedom, and the enduring pursuit of justice and equality.

On June 19, 1865, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free. Juneteenth stands as a celebration of liberation, hope, perseverance, and the remarkable contributions African Americans have made—and continue to make—to our communities and our nation.

As women committed to service, scholarship, sisterhood, and community uplift, we honor the sacrifices of those who came before us and recommit ourselves to building a future rooted in equity, opportunity, and unity for all.

May we continue to educate, empower, and inspire future generations while celebrating the rich culture, history, and strength of the African American community.

Happy Juneteenth!

❤️🩸 Sickle Cell Awareness Day 🩸❤️

Today, we stand in support of the millions of individuals and families affected by sickle cell disease—a lifelong inherited blood disorder that impacts people physically, emotionally, and financially.

Sickle cell disease is often called an “invisible illness,” but the pain, challenges, and strength of those living with it are very real. On this day, we raise awareness, encourage education, support ongoing research, and advocate for equitable healthcare and treatment options for all affected individuals.

Let us honor the warriors who face this disease every day with courage and resilience. Together, we can help increase understanding, promote early detection, support blood donation efforts, and work toward a future where every person living with sickle cell disease has access to the care they deserve.

💙 Wear red, share facts, donate blood if you’re able, and help spread awareness.
