We are reaching out to our amazing community with an urgent request for financial assistance.
Recently, FIVE dogs at Peaceful Animal Adoption Shelter (PAAS) tested positive for heartworms. While this news is heartbreaking, we are determined to give each of these dogs the treatment and second chance they deserve.
Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially fatal condition that affects the heart, lungs, and surrounding blood vessels. Without proper treatment, it can cause permanent damage and even death.
The good news? Heartworm disease is treatable!!! ❤️
Unfortunately, treatment comes with a significant financial burden, especially when we are facing five positive cases at once.
The unexpected cost of treating five heartworm-positive dogs puts an additional strain on our limited resources.
