I think everyone on the farm deserves an introduction. This funny looking dude is Hank. He’s a Basset Hound x Great Pyrenees, we got as a puppy. He is the most random mix that doesn’t sound like it’d work at all. 🤷🏼‍♀️ He however is probably the best guardian dog you’ve ever met and every kid’s favorite because he loves to be loved on by them. He is always lounging around the pastures and watching his animals. If he’s not out with the animals he’s loving on his kids. While he is awkward shaped he’s the perfect personality combination and I mean who doesn’t love hound dog ears?!

Can you find everyone? Usually you can find the bucklings being playful and rough and just looking for anything to get into in their pasture…. Sometimes you can find them hiding. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ The tan guy standing in the tire is fairly new to our herd and his sweet but quirky personality is winning our hearts.

It’s so easy to forget the simple things in life. When we slow down and look it really is the little things that stop us in our tracks and remind us how lucky we are. The goal of the farm is always to create an environment that is a reminder of a slow and safe environment where we are always free to be we are. Tony and Tammy are truly a breath of fresh air and a reminder of what we want often. 🫶🏻

Side note bananas are a favorite of theirs and also our favorite to watch them eat.

The excitement around here never stops, this weekend a few of us spent time back home in Michigan absorbing our sweet family then rushed home to Karen the corgi having babies! Karen and Carlos are fan favorites at the farm and this litter has been long awaited! She had seven babies and everyone was healthy! We’re just in awe of our girl and how awesome she did with this bunch of little ones! 🫶🏻

Growth is something we don’t mention enough, looking at this moment we picked at my mom knowing she’d cry the second she grabbed the microphone(she’s ALWAYS got the water works). In all truth though it was us proud with tears. Not many people realize the hardships it took to make it to this testimony moment, to get a father who will stand in a prayer circle, and a mother who will talk Jesus. These two are the heart and soul of our home. They have grown from two young kids to two amazing leaders, every day showing us how to serve God better. 🫶🏻 They’re the perfect example of what God can do when he shows up in your life. Which is why we’re so excited to serve at our home, we didn’t have a perfect church story but we had a God story and we’re so proud of it. 🥹

It’s a special day at the farm! Happy one year to our Tony!!! He’s grown so much and developed such a fun bond with us. He went from untouchable to the most space invasive animal in the pasture. He’s always nosy and thinks all the treats are for him! He’s one of our favorite farm animals and if you’re the kids you’re a class cool kid because you own Tony the emu! 🫶🏻

Happy gotcha day feathered bestie! 😉

Appreciation moment for this man. The work around here never stops and thank GOD for this handy hardworking man. In a matter of hours he had built a little lean-to for us to use in the new pasture while we weaned the kids from the does. Then the next day he started the next project! He dug a trench, put conduit down, and ran pipe to the goat barn so we could have power and water! There’s always something around here but this guy never complains and is always willing. He sets the bar high and is a wealth of knowledge. 🫶🏻 From building barns to enjoying the animals we bring home (without telling him) more than he admits he truly is the foundation of our family and all of our dreams here.

Emus! They’ve been such a great joy on the farm! When we got our first we just jumped feet first right in, the call home went something like “hey I need help unloading the trailer… I bought the mini horses but also AN EMU! I have no clue.” They fully thought I was joking. Ever since unloading the first one though we’ve been hooked! Who knew a bird would have so much personality?! They play with our dogs, interact with us, and often times you can find them being nosey in the middle of everything. Next season hopefully Tony will be raising some hatchlings!

One year ago today the boys were wrapping up the roof on the goat barn and yesterday they were wrapping up the roof on gathering barn! The difference a year can make is overwhelming. God shows up and community comes together big things happen. We now have one barn done and one coming together all within the span of a year!
Thank you all so much for your support and help along the way!💛

It’s been about a week since I planted seeds and I have over 100 sunflowers and endless other perennial flowers sprouting! My counter is literally overflowing with seedlings!

On a side note our sweet alpaca Elmira has decided recently that she prefers to be brown instead of white. I had to stop in the driveway and figure out what the new animal was in the pasture the other day. It was her, she was that dirty, she was unrecognizable. 😅
