Last week our VES faculty and staff took it back to the 90s for Teacher Appreciation Week, and they had an absolute blast participating in all the fun challenges!

Teachers and staff earned tickets for prizes by completing individual challenges like:
📸 Sending a picture of what makes them happy
🎨 Drawing a 90s doodle
🤫 Taking a selfie with the principals without them knowing

And group challenges like:
📷 Recreating a 90s JCPenney photo
🕺 Spelling out words with their bodies
🎤 Performing lip syncs to 90s songs
🎬 Recreating famous 90s scenes

The laughter, creativity, and team spirit made the week so much fun for everyone! But none of it would have been possible without the generosity of our amazing local sponsors who donated prizes for our teachers and staff.

That’s a wrap on our Totally 90s Teacher Appreciation Week at VES!

Today our amazing teachers and staff were treated to a dirty soda, energy drink, and water bar, gifted a fun 90s-themed shirt from PTO, and surprised with a pop-up shirt experience sponsored by Leslie Siegfried, DDS!

Throughout the week, teachers and staff also participated in both individual and group 90s challenges to earn tickets for awesome prizes donated by our incredible local businesses and community supporters. Prize winners will be drawn on Monday!

None of this week could have happened without our amazing sponsors throughout the week.

We are so thankful for every teacher and staff member who pours into our students each and every day. VES truly has the best!

Help us show some love to our amazing school nurse, Meagan Sweeney.

From bandaging scraped knees to calming worried hearts, handing out ice packs, medicine, and hugs, she does so much more than people realize. She cares for our students and staff every single day with kindness, patience, and compassion.

Thank you for being a safe place, a helping hand, and such an important part of our VES family. We appreciate you more than words can say!
