This is rooster. He is a very sweet guy who has been through a lot so he is very independent and lacks affection on his own terms.

He loves to be petted, but gets nervous being held and will definitely set his boundaries and let you know when he is done with attention.

He needs to be the only cat in the home. He is available for adoption at Little Rescue on the Prairie for $50.

She’s looking for someone who is willing to nurture her withdrawn personality. She will tolerate being petted, but she’s not a huge cuddler, however she does get along with other Kitties.

She and her mom Frankie are bonded pair. They are absolutely precious and need adopted as a pair.

They’re not crazy about other kitties. They are very sweet very entertaining and as you can see very cute.

Taco Tuesday, Hump Day, $5 Friday - what about $3 Thursday? Little Rescue has 1.4K likes and followers - if all of our followers gave $3 today that $4200 would go a long way to helping a lot of cats!
Did you know many of our cats come from the streets?
With unknown health histories that means we spend an average of $200 per cat to get them spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and tested for infectious diseases.
Often we help them get over upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, treat ringworm (which is really a fungus not a worm, but what's in a name?), deal with dental disease, ear mites, treat for fleas... the list goes on!
It's no secret that non-profits function on donations and grants, but did you realize how hard it is to actually get a grant? It takes a volunteer many hours to write the application, accumulate the data/paperwork to support the request, submit all of that on time, and then we wait to find out if we got an award. We are grateful for every penny, but did you also know that grants are usually given for very specific projects and we cannot spend that money on anything else? What if an emergency arises? Nope, we cannot divert one grant to another purpose.
The long and short of it, YOUR donation matters more than you can even imagine! 😽

Little Rescue on the Prairie is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and is not funded by the government and relies on the community for help. We have several ways to support our rescue.
