🔺We are proud to spotlight Soror Tamisha Gilmore, whose presence has truly been a breath of fresh air since joining our HDAC family. She exemplifies dedication, creativity, and the true spirit of sisterhood through her service as Chair of the Communications & Public Relations Committee and her many other roles. Her tireless efforts behind the scenes are never overlooked. She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that our chapter is represented with excellence, professionalism, and pride.

🔺From creating engaging content and promoting chapter events, designing newsletters, managing and maintaining our chapter website, running our social media platforms, to creating and organizing our chapter photo albums, Soror Gilmore continuously uses her talents to keep our chapter informed, connected, and visible within the community. Whether supporting her Sorors or stepping in wherever needed, she leads with positivity, passion, and grace.

Wow! 50 years of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action!

🔺Please join us in celebrating our phenomenal Soror, Yemela Bell-Gomez, as she commemorates her 50th Deltaversary! This extraordinary milestone reflects a lifetime of dedication, purpose, and the exceptional commitment to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

🔺Soror Mela is one of our esteemed charter members whose legacy is deeply woven into the very foundation of the High Desert Alumnae Chapter. From the very beginning, she has helped set the standard for excellence, leadership, and true sisterhood, serving as a guiding light for both seasoned Sorors and those just beginning their Delta journey.

🔺Over the past five decades, Soror Mela has devoted herself to countless committees, always stepping in where needed and leading with both wisdom and humility. Her current roles as Nominating Committee Chair and Co-Chair of the Fundraising Committee are just a glimpse of her continued dedication to the growth and sustainability of our chapter. Her leadership ensures that we remain strong, strategic, and forward-thinking.

🔺Beyond Delta, Soror Mela’s impact extends throughout the community. As the current President of the Victor Valley Women’s Club, she continues to champion service, empowerment, and civic engagement, demonstrating that her commitment to uplifting others knows no bounds.

Motherhood is a journey where the days feel long and the years are short, yet the love poured into each moment leaves an imprint that lasts a lifetime.

Today we honor our beautiful mothers — those who guide our steps, watch ahead for danger, and pour themselves into others without hesitation. From mothers by birth to grandmothers, godmothers, and every mother figure who stands in the gap, your love is the foundation upon which we stand.

We also hold space for our sisters experiencing the complexity of joy and grief on this day. For those navigating their own experience of becoming a mother, and those missing the presence of theirs — we see you, we are you, and we love you.

To every woman who has ever loved like a mother: your journey has paved the path we walk today. Anchored in the legacy you have built and evolving with the intention you have modeled, we carry you with us in every step forward. Happy Mother's Day!
