The Control Freaks finally made it to state! We competed at the Michigan State Championship at SVSU this past weekend. We walked away with the Innovation in Control Award. Which celebrates an innovative control system or application of control components-electrical, mechanical, or software- to provide unique machine functions.

🎉It’s OFFICIAL! The Control Freaks have qualified to compete at the State Competition beginning on THURSDAY!‼️👏Congrats team on your hard work and dedication! 💪🏻⚙️

The First Competition of the season for these Vicksburg Community Schools Control Freaks is in the books! The Control Freaks earned 36 state ranking points at Lakeview High School March 6th and 7th! After competing in qualifying matches, the Control Freaks held strong in 8th place earning them an Alliance captain position for alliance number 5. Our Alliance with rookie team, the Climax-Scotts Panther Bots and the AtomBots came to an end after being defeated by Alliance number 3 in the playoff brackets. Our alliance took 4th place overall in our first competition of the season. We look forward to seeing what our robot is capable of as we move forward in the 2026 season.

⚙️The Control Freaks have just ☝️ month left until our first competition! This competition will be held by Lakeview Public Schools in Battle Creek. We are in need of a volunteer to help out for two days at this competition. 🙏 Please consider supporting our team in this way!

⚙️The official kick off to the High School season was ⭐️TODAY⭐️! Robotics team members were invited to gather in the lab and watch the official Competition video for the 2025 competition REBUILT 🔩 (video attached below) and begin work! Our first competition this year will be in Battle Creek the first week in March! Let’s Go Control Freaks! 🐾⚙️
