The Partners in Giving Campaign kicks off today! Through this annual workplace giving campaign, State of Wisconsin, Universities of Wisconsin, and UW Health employees can support the causes they care about most.

BPNN is 100% volunteer and every dollar goes directly to purchasing food and keeping the lights. As we celebrate 40 years of providing food, dignity, and hope, your support helps ensure our neighbors can continue accessing nutritious food and the services they need to thrive.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Melissa! 🌟

Melissa is a valued member of BPNN’s Event Team and has helped coordinate our Farm to Table fundraising dinner for the past two years. Her volunteer journey started in the food pantry, food repackaging and then at the golf outing -- where she was tapped to take on a bigger role on the Event Team!

And we're so glad she did! She is passionate about buying local, making the Farm to Table dinner a natural fit. She loves the opportunity to bring that passion to an event that celebrates local food while supporting BPNN’s mission.

One thing that surprised Melissa about volunteering at BPNN? How well the organization recognizes and taps into people’s unique skills and talents to make a difference in our community.

Did you know BPNN serves all of Dane County?

We offer the largest grocery store style shopping experience in Dane County. Our pantry is stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, frozen meat, prepared meals, grains, shelf-stable groceries and snacks. We also offer personal essentials such as toilet paper, soap and diapers.

Tuesday: 10a-Noon

🎉📸 40th Anniversary Flashback

Last year, BPNN completed The Last Build — the final major expansion of our campus and a milestone in our 40-year history.

The 12,000-square-foot addition doubled our warehouse capacity and positioned BPNN for long-term growth. The expansion added warehouse space, expanded cooler and freezer storage, and a second loading dock—strengthening our ability to receive and distribute up to 4 million pounds of food each year.

The Last Build may be our final expansion, but it will help BPNN keep growing its impact for years to come.

As we celebrate 40 years of service, we're looking ahead to the future. You can help sustain this mission for the next 40 years by becoming a monthly donor with a $40 monthly gift. Together, we can continue providing the food, dignity, and hope our neighbors rely on every day.

🚜 Attention livestock farmers: Want to turn food scraps into a valuable resource for your livestock?

BPNN is looking to partner with livestock farmers who can use food that’s no longer suitable for human consumption but is appropriate for animal feed.
We hold an animal feed license and have been successfully connecting food scraps with local livestock farmers for more than 8 years.

Available items may include:
• Expired produce and food scraps
• Unbagged bread
• Meatless prepared and processed foods

🎨✨ New Art in the Kasieta Center!

Stop by our next Community Meal and enjoy an extensive exhibit of watercolor paintings by members of the Madison Watercolor Society. The exhibit will be on display through the December—we hope you'll take a few moments to enjoy this beautiful and fascinating installation!

A big shoutout to Kailee at . She is the owner of a small business in DeForest creating handcrafted soaps using milk from Wisconsin farms. She recently donated soaps to BPNN to share with our pantry guests. 🧼💚

We were delighted to welcome Barb T. and Barb J. from Attic Angels for a recent visit to BPNN! 💙

They toured our facility and met with members of our Development team to learn more about how we serve our community and some of the programs and services we’re exploring.

Visits like these give our community partners a firsthand look at the work happening behind the scenes and help Attic Angels consider BPNN for potential grant support.
