Verona Little League - Introduction to Kid Pitch - Fall Ball league is open to '26-'27 3rd and 4th graders (highly skilled 2nd graders can register as well). Schedule will run from first week of Sept to Mid-October on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Registration closes TONIGHT (08/14) at 11:59pm.

Congrats to the 11u Orange team for winning the 14 team Field of Dreams Championship in Dyersville, IA. The weekend end was capped off with a 6-5 sixth inning walk-off win on the Field of Dreams movie site field. The boys went 5-0-1 against club teams from Missouri, Iowa, and Illinois. The team also participated in the skills competition held on the movie site field and finished in the top 3 in each event. The boys had an amazing experience.

The 8U Gray Verona Tournament Team went to Oregon this past weekend and took home the 'ship. Well done boys!

Congrats to the Verona 9U Black Tournament Team for taking 2nd place in Oregon this past weekend. They won their pool on Saturday, but came up just short on Sunday. Way to try your hardest through the hot weekend.

Family Fun Night:
Why is family fun night always in the 90s for temps?? Either way we had a great time showcasing our players' developed skills through running races, relay throwing races, outfield skills competition and home run derbies. Thank you to Mallards Verona Bounce and Kona Ice of Madison for partner with us to make this an even more memorable event.

Due to dangerous air quality, the Majors championship and consolation championship games for tonight are postponed til next Wednesday (7/22) at 8pm.

Weather & Rules for Tonight (7/15):
We have Rookies, Minors, and Intermediates Championships and Consolation Championships tonight. We planned to extend the time limit for these games, but with the heat and deteriorating air quality expected this evening we are keeping the time limits and run rules.
or today and tomorrow's games we will have the following timing rules.

All divisions will continue to have no new innings after 80 minutes. There will be no hard stop. If there is a tie after the 80 minutes has expired then the tie will be broken based on California Tie Breaker.

Rookies & Minors - still have a maximum of 5 runs allowed per inning. Mercy rule - 11 runs after 4 innings or 6 runs after 5 innings.

Majors & Intermediates - no maximum runs per inning. Mercy rule - 10 runs after 4 innings.

California Tie Breaker - the last batter from the previous inning will start on 2nd base and there will be 1 out. Batting team will change once 3 outs are recorded or run limit in the inning is reached. Continue with this until the tie is broken after the home team has batted.

Monday 7/13 - Family Fun Night tonight! Come to the ball park for skills competitions, bounce house, crafts-coloring, Kona Ice, and concessions. The Mallards will be there too for the Rookies ages. Festivities start at 5pm with skills competition at 5:30pm. Bring your VLL jersey and/or hat cleats and glove. Homerun derby for minors and up, bring your bat.
