The reSource Center on Commerce Avenue will be closed today for deep cleaning.

🐾 This National Dog Day, we are celebrating the loyal companions who stay beside our neighbors through life’s most difficult seasons.

For many individuals experiencing homelessness, a dog is more than a pet. They are family, comfort, and a source of unconditional love. That is why The Source added secure, covered companion animal kennels at our reSource Center on Commerce Avenue.

Members can now enjoy a hot meal, take a shower, do laundry, meet with a counselor, or participate in our programs knowing their companion is safe and nearby. Each dog also receives a special welcome bag with treats and a toy.

We are also grateful to For the Love of Paws for providing dog food and helping us care for the whole family with dignity and compassion. ❤️

We have programs that feed people. Programs that provide shelter. Mental health care. Dental care. Job training. Transportation. A place to live. A community to belong to.

And behind every one of them is a team that works incredibly hard because we believe every person deserves dignity, hope, and the opportunity for a new beginning.

But there are moments that remind us why The Source exists at its very core.

Moments like this.

When someone chooses Jesus. When a life is surrendered to Him. When we get to stand beside someone as they publicly declare that they are not only beginning a new chapter here, but beginning an eternal one.

We will keep feeding people. We will keep housing people. We will keep creating opportunities. We will keep building community. We will keep showing up.
But when all of this is over, what matters most is where we spend eternity.

That is why moments like this are so incredibly special to us.

Because sometimes bringing someone home means giving them a safe place to sleep.

And sometimes it means watching them come home to Jesus.
