Indian River IMPACT 100 is an organization of women committed to improving their community by providing high impact grants to nonprofit organizations in our local area.

💙 This is what impact looks like, from an idea for the future to a grant that keeps giving.

Impact 100 Indian River brings women together to invest in local nonprofits with the potential to create meaningful, lasting change.

Today, we’re seeing that impact from multiple angles. SafeSpace’s 2021 grant continues to provide safety and support for women and children in our community, while organizations like Healthy Start are bringing forward ideas for how a future $100,000 grant could help them reach even more local families.

Past grants. New possibilities. One community made stronger through collective giving.

💙 One grant. Years of impact. Hundreds of lives touched.

In 2021, Impact 100 Indian River helped SafeSpace renovate a 19-bed emergency shelter, creating a safe place for survivors of domestic violence and their children when they need it most.

And that impact continues. 139 women and children were served in 2024–25, growing to 175 in 2025–26.

Today, SafeSpace is building on that foundation with plans for an Indian River County Connection Center, expanding access to immediate support and vital resources.

This is what sustainable impact looks like. A grant may begin with one project, but its ripple can strengthen our community for years to come. 🩵

🐢 We still need your help naming our sea turtle mascot!

We’ve received some great ideas so far, but we know there are more creative names out there. 💭

💙 Meet this month’s Member Spotlight: Marjorie Bowers!

Marjorie has called Vero Beach home since 1992 and has spent decades serving, teaching, and giving back to our community. After 26 years teaching in the EMS Department at Indian River State College, she may be retired, but she certainly hasn’t slowed down. She continues to teach online courses for EMTs and paramedics and volunteers her time with the Brevard Zoo and Dogs and Cats Forever.

As an RN, paramedic, educator, and dedicated volunteer, service has been a thread throughout Marjorie’s life. It’s also what drew her to Impact 100.

💬 “I like to support organizations that help local nonprofits succeed. The fact that this is a women empowering organization is even better.”

Thank you, Marjorie, for being part of a community of women coming together to make a difference right here at home. 🩵
