Venice Suncoast Rotary members President Bill King and David Butler, along with their counterparts Alice Murphy and Sara Butler, had a great time supporting the Venice High School's Rotary Futures Annual Fundraiser
this past Saturday, August 22nd at Plantation Golf and Country Club. We are proud to support this great program that has been instrumental in connecting thousands of students of all ages with scholarships to help them advance their education and career goals.

Great visit from DG Dennis Wallace yesterday. In addition to his insights of Rotary and sharing his plans for his 26-27 year, he also presented Paul Harris Fellow awards to members: Don Moore, Barbara Duguay and our current President Bill King. We look forward to seeing him again at our club’s 50 year celebration on 9/26/26.

Wednesday 5/13 was the last day of our serving meals to the students at Laurel Civics Kids Cafe. Thanks to Rotary district 6960 and our local supporters we were able to help with a portion of the food costs. We look forward to participating again next year!

We chose the Venice City Safety Day to present our annual donations to the City Police and Fire Departments. Each year we use proceeds from our Hometown Heroes Banquet to help fund their various community programs. Along with our club and Josh the Otter are Fire Chief Frank Giddens and Police Chief Andy Leisenring. Rotary giving back to the community makes Venice great!
