Vashon-Maury Community Council V-MCC The Vashon-Maury Community Council (V-MCC) serves as a platform for residents to engage, collaborate, and advocate for the betterment of Vashon-Maury Island.

Community meetings the 3rd Thursday of every month. Details at www.v-mcc.org The name of this community organization is Vashon-Maury Island Community Council. It plans to operate under legal designation as a nonprofit corporation. VMICC is neither a legislative nor executive body. It functions as a collaborative group to advocate and influence on behalf of the community.

Tomorrow! Join us for our May meeting.
New motion anticipated - a letter of support will be proposed for a grant application by WA DNR to restore eelgrass in Quartermaster Harbor. The grant funds would support debris removal near Portage, aggregation of existing data/reports on water quality, and creation of a state-of-the-art water flow model to understand the environmental impacts of filling portage >100 years ago. Join us this Saturday at 11 am to commemorate the Day of Exile on Vashon, when Japanese residents were forcibly removed from our community 84 years ago.
