This June, we invite the Vashon community to help create a living expression of LGBTQ+ Pride on the island. Share a photo on Instagram that reflects what Pride means to you — identity, love, resilience, visibility, chosen family, solidarity, joy, or simply the freedom to be fully yourself. Whether it’s a portrait, a moment with people you love, a symbol of belonging, a quiet reflection, or something bold and celebratory, each image becomes part of a collective artwork. Tag your post with , and we’ll print and “pin” your image into a growing grid installation at Open Space for Arts & Community. Together, these images create a vibrant portrait of LGBTQ+ life, presence, and support on Vashon. The wall will be on display in the Open Space lobby all month, inviting you to witness it come to life. The finished piece will be unveiled during First Friday in July, alongside our July 3 Folklife Friday—a celebration of community, creativity, and the many ways Pride lives here.

If your profile is private but you still want to participate, you can share an image directly with us in our DMs and we will add it to the gallery!

On GiveBIG everyone gets to be a philanthropist - and you can make a difference today!

Open Space has less than $2000 to go before we meet our $5000 goal. A gift that is meaningful to you is meaningful to us, so please consider donating to Open Space this GiveBIG!

Ways we could meet our goal;
1x $2000 gift - Close out our goal on your own!
2x $1000 gifts - Would you and a friend like to be our heroes?
4x $500 gifts - Can your cohort of compassionate companions come together for change?
8x $250 gifts - Patrons of the arts, assemble!

Why our goal matters;
$5000 is a month of expenses for ORBIT Youth Space, it’s 10 full-ride scholarships to UMO Summer Camps, it’s 250 free tickets to shows - it’s access to the arts, support for our community, and it’s lives changed.

Help us meet our goal by the end of today (5/5) so that we can continue providing all this and more to our community! Donate at the link in our bio.

It’s up to us to support the arts!
GiveBIG is our time to shine! Washington’s own day of giving only comes once a year and we need your help to make an impact!

Early giving opens today, April 28th, and goes until May 4th.

Our goal is to raise $5000 this year during giveBIG — here’s how you can help:
- GiveBIG is public in a way that fundraising normally isn’t, which means that your gift now could inspire others!
- Giving dollars isn’t the only way you can help — GiveBIG makes it easy to promote the causes you care the most about.
- ORBIT and UMO School are already off to a strong start for the year, which means snacks, scholarships, and supplies are in major demand as we go into the spring!
