KEEPING OUR STUDENTS SAFE AND HEALTHY 🚭 Our district is expanding an initiative to help prevent and quickly respond to va**ng on our campuses.

Va**ng detectors will be installed in middle and K-8 school bathrooms. We have already been using these detectors in our high schools, where they have helped administrators identify va**ng incidents more quickly and respond promptly.

The system uses technology that detects airborne v***r and immediately sends an alert so staff can check the area. The detectors do not record audio or video.

Smoking and va**ng are prohibited on all Hillsborough County Public Schools campuses. Expanding this initiative is part of our broader effort to reduce va**ng, support student health, and ensure our schools can respond quickly when incidents occur.

We have had a blast this past week with club sign ups at Durant, Strawberry Crest, and Bloomingdale High Schools! Altogether we have over 340 students signed up!
We can’t wait to start our school clubs with these amazing students this year. If you are interested in joining or forming an Impact club at your school, please DM us!!!!

We are looking for student volunteers to help serve at our Impact Celebration. Students help will be needed from 4:30pm-10pm. This is a great opportunity to get service hours AND a free delicious dinner for volunteering. If you are interested please reach out and let us know through DM or email [email protected]. Take an opportunity to get away from the back to school rush for a few hours on Monday night from 6:30-7:45. We’ll be meeting at the Impact office which is located at 3115 Lithia Pinecrest Rd for a night of games, giveaways, and fun! Come join us Monday night for a great start to the week!!

For those who are accepted we will also be doing leadership training and have events throughout the school year to help you know your Summer Staff Team!
