Poetry by the Bay Spoken Word/Open Mic Event Since August 2008 Poetry by the Bay has brought together talented artists to share their work. Please use your own discretion.

Every 4th Wednesday of the month join us at the Mira Theater to share your work in a welcoming environment or just come to hear poetry in your community. This is a free event welcome to all ages.

Submit to the 2027 Academy of American Poets First Book Award.

This $5,000 prize for a first poetry collection includes publication by Graywolf Press, distribution to thousands of Academy members, and promotion through the Academy.

This year's judge is John Keene.
