This past weekend, 5 incredible dogs left Georgia behind and started their new lives in Canada! 🇨🇦❤️
Every transport is special, but these five have stories that remind us why we keep going.
🐾 Rambo spent 6 months at the shelter and our rescue being overlooked time and time again despite being an amazing dog. He even graduated our Hamilton Hounds training program while he waited. His wait is finally over.
🐾 Toaster Strudel arrived with a severe embedded collar and was terrified of the world around him. After healing physically and learning to trust again, he boarded transport headed for a family of his own.
🐾 Lyla was adopted and returned multiple times through no fault of her own. We hoped a fresh start in Canada might be her lucky break, and judging by the photos, we were right.
🐾 Hazel was abandoned when her family moved away and left her behind at an apartment complex. Thanks to a kind neighbor who stepped up, Hazel stayed safe until her forever family found her. No more wondering if someone is coming back for you, sweet girl.
🐾 Kipper came to us with a devastating leg injury. After an amputation and weeks of healing, this tripod pup is finally home with a family to love him exactly as he is.
These are the stories you don’t always see. The long shelter stays. The medical recoveries. The heartbreak of being left behind. The second, third, and fourth chances.
Today, all five are exactly where they belong. ❤️
A huge thank you to Niagara Dog Rescue and our incredible Canadian adoption coordinators, Jenna and Dianne, for making these happy endings possible. Because of your dedication, dogs that may have waited months longer for homes are now sleeping on couches, going on adventures, and being loved exactly as they deserve. 🇨🇦🐾
Happy tails, Rambo, Toaster Strudel, Lyla, Hazel, and Kipper. Thank you to every foster, volunteer, donor, adopter, transport partner, Jenna, Dianne, and Niagara Dog Rescue for helping make this journey possible. 🚐❤️🐾✨
