Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is a foster based rescue in Eugene, Oregon, that focuses on helping abandoned and surrendered dogs find their forever homes.

Every dog deserves a warm, forever home! Wiggly Tails focuses on small breed dogs, and occasionally bigger dogs. Our dogs come from the high-kill shelters in California, as well as local owner surrenders. All of the dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, and most are microchipped before going to their forever homes. (Puppies will require additional follow-up vetting on a schedule we provid

e.) We are always in need of foster homes! If you are considering opening your home to a dog, but you are not sure if it is the right time, why not foster a dog in need and test the waters? The more foster homes we have available, the more dogs we can save. Our adoption fees vary, depending on age and breed. Adoption fees help cover veterinary expenses (such as dental work, vaccines, unexpected illness, and preventative care) and allows us to continue saving lives. We try our best to find our dogs and puppies homes within the Eugene/Springfield area (or within a 60 mile radius) so a home visit can be made to insure proper placement, and for us to provide continued adoption support. LIKES: This sassy girl loves everyone and is great with kids! She is good with cats and other dogs and she does well on car rides too. She wants to be where you are, and loves to cuddle under a blanket.

DISLIKES: She is pretty easy going but in true pug fashion she needs picked up and put outside to go potty in inclement weather.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Extremely sweet, loving and bubbly

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Sometimes needs brought outside due to bad weather but is potty trained

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She does ok, just will let you know she’s not happy

EXTRAS/MISC.: She’s described by everyone who meets her as "perfect." Pugs require some specific care for their skin and health. Her family needs to know about the risk of overheating in Pugs and have a home with air conditioning and plan to help keep her cool during the summer months.

Mallory is a shy girl trying to find her place. She enjoys playing with other dogs.

LIKES: She like Nylabones, chews and soft toys. She is learning to play and explore outdoors.

DISLIKES: Does not like leaving home. Does not like riding in car.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Mallory is a sweet girl that will tolerate being held for a few minutes then she's off to play with another dog. She is insecure and needs a stable home with another dog to help her thrive. She is learning how to interact with people, and came from a home with a number of other dogs where she was neglected and wasn't socialized with humans. She's quiet, not a barker and non shedding. Loves a yard to explore.

POTTY TRAINING: Potty training is progressing. She uses potty pads in home and given regular schedule to outside access is learning to potty outside.

CRATE TRAINING: She loves a crate or pen to retreat to. She sleeps in crate or pen at night.

OTHER/MISC: Mallory may look like a lap dog, but human affection and attention is new to her and her happy place is to be in the company of another dog. She has not mastered walking on leash and will need time and encouragement along with the example and support of another dog to show her it's Ok. If you have patience, love, a fenced yard, and another dog she will be a great addition to your home.

This is Esha'ntarl (16lb female Chihuahua mix), mom to the Final Fantasy litter. She's a shy girl who secretly loves to play with toys and her doggy friends. She's house-trained and crate-trained, but her leash skills are a work in progress. Don't be fooled by her silence though - she is a clever one! Roxy is a high energy puppy with a large drive for play and is also the perfect lap dog. She may be a good fit for someone who wants to do some agility work or have a little hiking buddy. She really likes to be around her person and would probably be best suited for someone willing to spend a lot of time with her. She is very food motivated listens well.

LIKES: Playing tug of war, playing with other dogs, playing fetch, sleeping next to you, siting on your lap, licking people.

DISLIKES: Being left alone too long, not being played with, not having enough outside time.

POTTY TRAINING: She is mostly potty trained and will go to the bathroom outside first thing in the morning. With regular trips outside and crate training when not supervised will help her on her way.

OTHER/MISC: As with all puppies, Roxy would benefit from additional training. She is a great listener and is highly food motivated, and will be a fun dog to train!

LIKES: Playing with his brother and toys. Following his foster parents around the property on little walks and running in the grass, all the pets and love he can get. Attention from anyone or any animal.

DISLIKES: Sharing humans with his brother if he’s getting attention. He also doesn't like spending too much time in an x-pen.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Lloyd is very sweet , playful and bouncy. He is food motivated, energetic and eager to learn!

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Work in progress but with a consistent routine he will get it down. Currently on potty pads and going in an x-pen outside.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: He sleeps in an x-pen with his brother at night and for a few hours during the day without any barking.

EXTRAS/MISC.: Lloyd is an energetic little guy who loves to chew and eat anything he can but he redirects well and responds to no. A slow feeder is recommended for this eager eater. He will try to eat anything he gets his mouth on, and needs careful supervision and a well puppy-proofed home and outdoor environment. As with all puppies, Lloyd would benefit from puppy classes and training to help him become the best dog he can be.
