It's September, and we hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day weekend. Next month is dyslexia awareness month and our signature two day, in- person conference in Alabama! We're one of the few branches of IDA in the country that holds a huge in person conference, and we can't wait for you to join us!

Reading challenges can affect every subject—not just language arts.

When we think about dyslexia, it's easy to focus on reading class. But the truth is, reading is woven into nearly every part of the school day.

Students are expected to read math word problems, science experiments, social studies passages, written directions, test questions, and even homework assignments. When reading is difficult, it can make learning in every subject more challenging.

That's why supporting a student with dyslexia isn't just about improving reading skills. It's about giving them the tools and instruction they need to access learning across the curriculum.
