Join the Purple Iris Foundation for our 2026 National Cancer Survivor Day Celebration as we honor the strength, resilience, and journeys of cancer survivors in our community. This free community event will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Jeff's Catering.
Enjoy an afternoon of connection, celebration, food, soft beverages, survivor stories, and special goodie bags for attendees. Whether you are a survivor, caregiver, family member, friend, or supporter, we invite you to come together in a spirit of hope, encouragement, and community.
Let’s celebrate survivorship, uplift one another, and remind every survivor that they are never alone.

Our Founder, Chris Parrish, just self published her very 1st microbook on Amazon! We are so proud! 👏💜

It will be available in ebook form shortly

I self-published my first micro book.
For Anyone Who Needs to Hear This Today.
Still processing (up to 72 hours), but it’s real and it’s out there.
My 1st BIG (next) book is still in its final touches stage, but I had to pause and acknowledge this smaller one.
Baby steps..
I’m really proud of all of my writing!

Every sunrise is a reminder that we have another chance to grow, to give, and to be present. A Stage 4 pancreatic cancer diagnosis taught me this.
Today, I’m choosing to lean into that gift with a grateful heart. How are you making the most of your "gift" today?

We are grateful for the past 13 years - Our Hope Garden at Bangor City Hall was one of our 1st projects as a non profit.
This was a project that my Mom and I took on together and I cherished that time spent with her..side by side. All things change with time and it is time to let go of this wonderful project as Mom's journey is changing.
Thank you Downtown Bangor letting us play in the dirt and create a little hope along the way, too.
