May's Line Life Photo Challenge theme, "Proud to Serve the Line," recognized the dedication, sacrifice, and pride that define our industry. 🇺🇸⚡

This month's winning photo was submitted by Crystal Thurman on behalf of her husband and was taken in Chicago during a tribute to a fallen lineman. The image captures a powerful symbol of patriotism, brotherhood, and remembrance.

At the time, Crystal's husband was serving as the General Foreman on the project. The tribute served as a reminder of the risks lineworkers face every day while keeping the lights on and communities connected.

Congratulations to Crystal Thurman on this month's winning submission.

Southeastern Line Constructors Chapter was honored to host the Outside Line Safety Expo at SELCAT as part of the 2026 NECA Safety Professionals Conference ⚡️

The event brought together safety professionals, contractors, industry leaders, and field personnel from across the country for meaningful conversations focused on safety leadership, risk management, mental health, emerging technology, and best practices in line construction.

We were grateful for the opportunity to hear from industry experts and safety leaders who shared their knowledge and experiences, helping strengthen the culture of safety throughout our industry.

A special thank you to everyone who attended, presented, and contributed to making the Outside Line Safety Expo a success.

At SLCC, we know that safety is more than a priority, it's a responsibility. We are proud to support opportunities that bring our industry together to learn, collaborate, and continue raising the standard for safety excellence.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who laid down their lives for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to our country will never be forgotten. May we all take a moment to reflect on those who gave everything in service to our nation.

In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed on Monday, May 26th.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.
