Founded in 1948, CDF is the exclusive agency charged with providing chamber of commerce, economic development, and planning and property management services for Tupelo/Lee County, Mississippi. The Community Development Foundation (CDF) was organized in 1948 in the Blue Room of Hotel Tupelo by community leaders who saw the need for a unified effort to coordinate the economic and community developme

nt activities of the region. CDF has been characterized by many as an organization that is at the center of innovation, as well as the most significant creative force in rural American economic and community development. CDF's goals and objectives are accomplished through the efforts of members appointed to committees operating under one of CDF's three divisions: Community & Chamber Services Division, Economic Development Division and Planning Services Division.

CDF had a great time this morning celebrating with El Pollo Dorado for their ribbon cutting! They are located on North Thomas Street near the West Main & Thomas Street intersection, and they're serving delicious rotisserie chicken, ribs, Mexican stew, tamales & sides, along with refreshing flavored water (strawberry, horchata, and more!) Stop by and grab lunch or dinner to go!
