Today’s lesson: Tick Talk 🕷️🌿 With special guest Ms. Sarah!
Did you know May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month? Our preschoolers spent the day learning all about ticks — where they live, what they look like, where they like to hide, and how they can make us sick.
During our hike, we talked about how to stay safe outside by wearing the right clothes and sticking to the trail. We even put up reminder signs in the meadow to show where ticks like to hang out!
To help remember where to check after outdoor play, the children sang a special version of “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” all about tick checks. At the end of our hike, everyone did a tick check… and we found five ticks! 👀
Learning how to stay safe while enjoying nature is such an important skill! 💚
