We invite you to a spinning workshop organized by the Woodbury Community Library. This workshop will take place here at the Sheep Shop on Saturday April 25th from 10 - 12 and will be led by Elisha Renne. This event is free of charge. Last call to participate in our 1st Annual Local Fiber VT Spring Retreat! March 27-29 in Norwich, VT. Choose a session for the weekend: Knitting with Beth Brown-Reinsel Designs, Handspinning with Ellen Minard , Natural Dyeing with Jane Woodhouse and Wet Felting with Jan Stuart.

We'll have a wonderful weekend of fiber arts classes, visiting and crafting with fiber friends, wonderful meals from The Norwich Inn and King Arthur Baking Company, Friday evening meet & greet with wine and cheese before dinner, then a presentation by Beth. Local vendors on Friday and Sat. Morning and afternoon class sessions, Sat night dinner followed by a fashion show. Gift bags for participants. Sunday morning class followed by one last lunch together. All happening at a cozy Vermont inn.

Just over two weeks until the first annual Local Fiber VT Spring Retreat! One of the four sessions participants may choose from is Wet Felting with Jan Stuart. You will learn to wet felt a hat, which includes a resist, a technique that will help with felting things like mitts, totes, etc. A useful process for those who want to felt more than flat items. Jan spent many years raising llamas and creating felted items from their fiber. moonlightllamas She currently creates felted burial shrouds for green burials.
