Chelsea Historical Society - Chelsea, Vermont The Chelsea Historical Society is located at 330 VT Route 110 (Main Street), just north of the fire house.

The Chelsea Historical Society, established in 1960, is dedicated to identifying, collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting artifacts, archival documents, and published materials that reflect and shed light on the historical evolution of Chelsea, Vermont, from its inception in 1784 to the present day. Our museum is located at 330 Route 110 (Main Street), just north of the fire house in Chelsea, Vermont, shire town of Orange County.

It was a wonderful Tea Party at the Lewis House even with the rain that convinced us we should be inside. Thanks to everyone who attended. Thanks to Sara, Sue & Sandy for hosting. The next "Tea Party" will be Wednesday, September 9 at 2:00. More info will follow. All are welcome to attend.

Do you still read The Herald? Today I did some research for someone at the Chelsea Historical Society museum, The Lewis House. We have bound editions of The Herald and News. I was able to find the death announcement that I was hunting for. However, I also got lost in the November and December 1919 editions for quite some time!!! Of note: Rosemary Lewis (our building namesake) went to Boston with her mother for the holiday. An article lamenting the cost farmers received for the Christmas Trees harvest compared to the sale price in the city. And, a couple advertisements caught my attention. Perhaps the Inn is the current Forbes home??
