Age is just a number! 🇺🇸🏃‍♂️

Meet Billy Woodruff, an Army veteran and member of the 82nd Airborne Division. At 89 years young, Billy is still going strong!

Next month, Billy will compete in a 5K at the State Senior Games, with hopes of qualifying for the national competition. And this isn’t his first race, Billy has completed an incredible 325 races over 25 years of running!

We had the privilege of talking with Billy today at lunch after he completed three miles at LaFortune Park. His determination, energy, and commitment to staying active are truly inspiring.

Billy is proof that for some veterans, age is definitely not an issue! 🇺🇸

Yesterday, we had the honor of welcoming Stan Keefe to the Coffee Bunker and recognizing his service during the Vietnam era. 🇺🇸

Stan is a United States Air Force veteran who proudly served from 1958 to 1966, leaving the service as a Staff Sergeant.

Stan, thank you for your service and sacrifice. Welcome to the Coffee Bunker, and most importantly, welcome home. ❤️🇺🇸

Today, John Badgwell received a Challenge Coin from Michael Horton in recognition of his quick response when a veteran fell in the hallway at the Coffee Bunker.

John immediately jumped in to help, drawing on his 22 years of medical experience as a medical assistant. We’re grateful to have people like John in our Bunker family who don’t hesitate to step up when someone needs a hand.
