Originally opened in 1890, the Corps served the needs of Tulare County. Though the Corps closed its doors in 1900, it was re-established in 1991 and remains open today and ha

s extended its services to the city of Visalia. At the Tulare Corps Community Center and Visalia Family Services Center, we provide social programs that help families in need with year-round programs and special Thanksgiving and Christmas services. for the youth we provide residential summer camp programs at our Redwood Glen Camp in Santa Cruz, CA., and locally we provide Backpacks with school supplies for elementary school age children. Christian Sunday Services are provided in Tulare in Spanish and English and is open to all. The Salvation Army is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
