With more rain possible this weekend, we encourage everyone in the Tuba City area and surrounding communities to take time to prepare their households and plan ahead.
🏠 A few things to do now:
Stock up on firewood, drinking water, and non-perishable food.
Check your home for leaks and insulate exposed pipes as temperatures drop.
Keep your phones charged and flashlights ready with extra batteries.
Make sure you have enough prescription medications and essential supplies.
Check on elders, family members, and neighbors who may need assistance.
🚗 Please use caution when traveling:
Check road conditions before leaving home.
Avoid unnecessary travel during hazardous weather.
Never drive through flooded areas or attempt to cross washed-out or impassable roads.
Let family members know your travel plans.

The Tuba City Chapter would like to inform the community that sandbags are now available at the Tuba City Chapter House for community members who may need them.

With rain in the forecast for today and throughout the weekend, we encourage everyone to take precautions and prepare ahead of time to help protect your homes, property, and belongings from potential flooding.

🌧️ A friendly reminder:

Pick up sandbags if you anticipate needing them.

Check areas around your home where water may collect.

Secure outdoor belongings and take necessary precautions.

Please look out for your elders, family members, and neighbors who may need assistance.

Please don't wait until the rain arrives to prepare!
