Yá'át'ééh!!! Friends and Relatives,

We hope you are doing well and staying warm during the new winter ceremonies that are beginning to take place. This month marks our Diné New Year, and we, as the Miss Western Navajo Organization, are pleased to announce that the 2024 Miss Western Navajo Pageant will take place this November. The official date will be announced soon.

Recognizing the obstacles that come with the fair season, we have decided to move the pageant to November. As an organization, we believe in proper preparation and mindset during the time of competition. We want young ladies and their families to enjoy the Western Navajo Fair and remain safe during the fair week. This change will allow the contestants to remain focused, determined, and have her give her best during the Miss Western Navajo competition.We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during this time and look forward to welcoming all participants and community members for this special event in November.

In the meantime, we kindly ask everyone to stay safe and show respect to one another. Thank you for your continued support to the Miss Western Organization, Western Navajo Agency, and to the future ambassadors of Western Navajo Agency. Please be safe, warm, and buckle up while traveling.

In light of threats made against members of our organization, including our spokespersons, due to advocacy for the Kerley Valley farmers. We wish to state that we do not condone violence in any form. The Miss Western Navajo Organization takes pride in connecting with and relating to Indigenous peoples embodying the beliefs and traditions of the Diné people.
