Meet Sheri Cain, one of our 2026 Invest in Her Growth Honorees. 💚

Through her ten years of service on the board for Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama, Sheri has seen firsthand how Girl Scouts helps girls grow into leaders through experiences like Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award projects. She believes membership scholarships and camperships are essential to ensuring more girls can access the adventures, leadership opportunities, and community Girl Scouts provides. 🌟⛺️

Lily is having an awesome week at historic Camp Coleman, making new friends and enjoying everything from creek exploration to campfire traditions.

Today, Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama honors Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.

Juneteenth is a time to reflect on our shared history, celebrate freedom, and recognize the resilience, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans to our communities and our nation.

We wish everyone a meaningful Juneteenth. 💚

Troop 29541 delivered Girl Scout Cookies to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office through the Hometown Heroes program 🍪💚

Thank you to the deputies and staff who serve their community every day, and thank you to Troop 29541 and Troop Leader Taylor Perry for making this special delivery possible.

We're still waiting to hear if the Thin Mints did the trick. 😉

🍪 Thank you to the Girl Scouts for delivering a bountiful supply of cookies to our office.

Intern Kassandra Dewoody’s sister, Christine Holman, along with their Troop Leader, Taylor Perry, made sure we were fully stocked. We truly appreciate Troop 29541 for the thoughtful treat.

⚽🌟 As soccer fans around the world celebrate the FIFA World Cup this summer, we're proud to introduce Abbey Nelson, a member of the GSNCA Gold Award Class of 2026.

Soccer has been a big part of Abbey's life, and she's seen firsthand how adults on the sidelines can shape a young player's experience in sports. For her Gold Award project, she created a program that helps parents support their children through positive encouragement, good sportsmanship, and emotional awareness.

The Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouting, recognizing girls who create lasting change in their communities through leadership and service.

Watch Abbey share the inspiration behind her project and the impact she hopes it will have on future athletes. 💚

As a former Girl Scout and community leader, Melanie understands the confidence, connection, and life experiences Girl Scouting provides.
