What does it cost for us to be entertained? Hayden Panettiere started acting when she was less than a year old. Her whole life was in the spotlight, and she had multiple struggles because of it, all the way up to her untimely death, just recently. And her story is far from the only one. River Phoenix, Lee Thompson Young, Sawyer Sweeten, and so many more had child stardom that eventually led to a young death. And this isn’t even mentioning the adults who were abused when they were children in the industry. In today’s episode, Steve and Kyle wonder what our entertainment is worth. Is it worth the lives of young people? Is it worth dehumanizing people? How do we decide what art is worth making, and what art just isn’t worth the risk it could provide?
