Bringing Finer Womanhood Month to a close! 💙

Celeste Griffin joined Zeta Phi Beta Chapter Sorority, Inc. Chi Beta Chapter at Central State University in Wilberforce, OH on May 18, 1984. Cincinnati, OH. She became a member of the Delta Phi Zeta Chapter in 1995. Celeste was born and raised in Dayton, OH and received her B.S. in Accounting from Central State University and M.Ed in Special Education from the University of Dayton. She recently retired from the Education field with over 25 years of service as an Intervention Specialist.

Celeste became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. because the women she met in college were Zeta and they remained very dedicated to the principles of the organization and she didn’t see that with graduates from the other sororities. She wanted a lifelong commitment and Zeta’s principles and sisterhood was where she saw her commitment. Celeste has learned to work on “Sisterhood” by giving as much as she can to uplift her Sorors as much as possible.

Celeste currently serves as a Co-Sponsor for the Amicae Auxiliary for the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Delta Phi Zeta Chapter. She has also served in several positions on the local, state, regional and national levels. Celeste has served as the Financial Secretary and First Vice President on the local level, Financial Secretary, Chair of the Board and Chair of the Scholarship Committee on the state level, Nomination Chair on the Regional level, and Co-Director of the National Conflict Resolution Committee on the national level. Celeste has also served on several chapter committees and supported several initiatives of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on the local, state, regional, and national levels. When asked, “How are you defining Zeta?” Beverly stated, “I am defining Zeta by changing the perspective of what a “Sorority Girl” should look and act like.”
