Last couple of months, we've been laying the ground work and incredible opportunity has opened up—we’re hosting the Lefty Martin Invitational in honor of Coach Martin’s legendary impact on track and field! Mark your calendars: June 1, 2025, in Trotwood, Ohio.
This first-ever meet in Coach Martin’s name will be a celebration of his dedication to the sport, and we’d love your help in making this event unforgettable. Whether it’s officiating, assisting, or simply showing up in support, your presence will make a difference!

Legendary youth coach and official Harold "Lefty" Martin died Jan. 13 in Dayton, Ohio. He was 84. One of the most beloved figures in USATF youth athletics, Martin's career in the sport spanned more than six decades, and along the way he established an unmatched legacy of service and excellence.

NWTC family it is with a heavy heart that this morning Coach "Lefty" Martin passed away this morning!!!

Please keep the Martin family in prayers and we look forward to celebrating the life of Coach Martin and please be on the lookout for a Memorial Service in the near future.

We are completely heartbroken to lose Coach Derrick Robinson so unexpectedly. He made a such a difference in so many lives during his years competing for Northwest Track & later volunteering to coach for Northwest Track Club & then Crossroads Track & Field in the summers. While he coached for Northmont during the school year, when he saw his summer kids, he would go out of his way to cheer them on no matter what team they were on. Derrick was always there for the athletes and his fellow coaches year-round to offer advice, an encouraging word, a good joke, or a kick in the butt if you needed it. There are no words for how deeply he will be missed.
