The Purrfect Place The Purrfect Place is a refuge of love and peace. Our mission is to rescue and rehome cats and dogs to their "purrfect" family.

This will lessen the local animal shelter population accomplished through rescue, foster and adoption.

We are so happy to have found COOPER his new FUREVER home. My next door neighbor, due to unforeseen circumstances had to re-home his Boston Terrier! My friends JEANIE MEISKY & Lynn Simril were looking for a new pup for their dog JESS. Jeanie has had Boston Terriers for years, so this was the "PURRFECT "fit! These 2 dogs are BFF'S already. Thanks Jeanie & Lynn for loving COOPER & taking him into your family. Know he'll have the best life ever! Thanks Mark Hutton for letting us help you & for the donation. URGENT LAST DAY 6/30/26
Meet Axel a 8 yr old German Shepherd mix surrendered by his owner
It is heartbreaking to see all the seniors surrendered to the shelter after having them for so many years. The owner stated that he has some food and resource guarding so if you get him, he needs to be fed separate from your dogs and also they said it’s better that there are no small kids in the home due to this please consider adopting this sweet boy look how beautiful he is. I can’t imagine how hard it has to be for him, but his age being surrendered sadly they did not have him on heartworm treatment medication and he is heartworm positive, but he has been treated by the shelter!
Please do not let that keep you from adopting him

🐾 Senior Dog Seeking a Furever Home 🐾

This sweet 8-year-old boy is looking for a patient and understanding family to give him the loving home he deserves.

His previous owner reported that he has food aggression/resource guarding and is not a good fit for homes with children. Because of this, he would do best in an adult-only home with someone experienced in handling and managing behavioral challenges.

At 8 years old, he's past the puppy stage and is looking for a comfortable place to enjoy his golden years. We know there is someone out there willing to see beyond his challenges and give him the chance he deserves.
