It's All Saints Day and our volunteer of the month, Tess Gandolfo, is truly a saint here at Tomorrow's Rainbow. Tess brings a perspective that is wise beyond her years offering thoughtful insights that help us all learn and grow as individuals and as a team.

Her gift for connecting with children of all ages helps them feel seen, heard, and valued. She extends that same care to our newer young volunteers, serving as a mentor as they find their place at Tomorrow’s Rainbow Upstate.

These connections are at the heart of why we feel so honored that Tess chooses to volunteer with us. Her compassion, wisdom, and generosity make a meaningful difference for the children and families we serve.

Building a Stronger Team Through Learning and Growth!

Today, our Tomorrow’s Rainbow Upstate team attended a workshop on effective communication, especially across generations is a reminder that each of us brings experiences, perspectives, and strengths worth honoring.

By listening with curiosity, learning from our differences, and finding common ground, we strengthen the relationships that make our mission possible. Our varied perspectives help us grow, connect, and serve with greater understanding.

When we invest in our team, we invest in the children and families we serve.

Supporting the Whole Student: Learning Beyond the Classroom!

We're excited to continue building our relationship with Greenville County Schools and finding new ways to meet the emotional needs of students in our community!

By welcoming a group of teens to Tomorrow's Rainbow Upstate during the school day, we're creating opportunities for students experiencing grief and loss to develop healthy coping skills, build resilience, and better understand how grief affects their heads, hearts, and bodies. Education is about so much more than academics.

When we support students' emotional well-being alongside their academic growth, we help them develop the skills to navigate life's challenges, build healthy relationships, and reach their full potential.

We're grateful for the opportunity to adapt our program to better serve the needs of students and families throughout our community.

Because helping students succeed means caring for the whole child, not just the student sitting at a desk!

It’s Fall, Y’all! And Our Minis Are Getting Fluffy!

There’s a wonderful freshness in the air at Tomorrow’s Rainbow Upstate!

The cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and our miniature horses and donkeys growing their fuzzy winter coats make this one of our favorite times of year on the farm!

And our kiddos are loving all that extra fluff to brush during group sessions!

But there’s so much more happening during these sweet moments than grooming.

Horses and donkeys are incredibly sensitive to the emotions and body language of those around them. Through these interactions, children can begin to recognize feelings, build trust, practice patience, and develop a greater understanding of themselves and others.

A little fresh fall air, fuzzy pony love, and meaningful moments of connection.

That’s what makes autumn on our farm so special!

There's a New Four-Legged Friend at Tomorrow's Rainbow Upstate!

Meet Buddy, the newest member of our farm family!

Buddy's story began when Tommy Hughes, one of Tomorrow's Rainbow Upstate's earliest and most treasured supporters, discovered him hiding under the hood of his truck one morning!

Tommy has been part of our journey since the very beginning, so when he realized this sweet, energetic kitten needed a home with plenty of room to explore, naturally, he thought of us!

While our miniature horses and donkeys get much of the attention, our barn cats, Pookie and Pepper, have a special role of their own!

Whether visiting children during therapeutic art activities, joining in during free play, or simply enjoying a little affection, they provide another wonderful opportunity for children to experience the comfort and companionship of animals. Sometimes, a little kitty love or a playful moment can bring an unexpected smile to a grieving child's face.

Buddy's arrival is perfect timing! As our sweet Pepper slows down in her older years, young Pookie could use an energetic playmate. We have a feeling these two will have plenty of adventures together!

Thank you, Tommy, for continuing to find ways to bring joy to our farm and the children we serve!

Learning, Connecting, and Growing Together!

Last Saturday, we had the pleasure of hosting an EAGALA In-Person Networking Event at Tomorrow’s Rainbow Upstate, bringing together mental health professionals who share a passion for equine-assisted experiences!

It was a wonderful opportunity for our team to strengthen our facilitation skills and exchange ideas to better serve the grieving children and families in our program.

Just as importantly, we were able to introduce more mental health providers to our cost-free bereavement support services, helping build referral relationships so more grieving families throughout the Upstate can find the support they need.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a meaningful day of learning and connection!

Come spend the afternoon with us enjoying live music, games, inflatables, food, pony fun, arts & crafts, our silent auction, and plenty of Wild West fun for the whole family!

🌧️ And don’t let a little rain stop you! We’re celebrating RAIN OR SHINE! We have our large covered Activity Pavilion, so the Roundup fun will go on whatever the weather brings. Every ticket also supports something incredibly important: helping Tomorrow’s Rainbow Upstate continue providing cost-free bereavement support to children, teens, and families throughout the Upstate.

The transformation continues… and Pony Partner Roundup is almost here!

Yesterday we gave you the first sneak peek, and today we’re showing you even more of what’s taking shape around the farm for THIS SUNDAY!

The games are coming together, the decorations are going up, and our ponies are getting ready to welcome you for one of our favorite days of the year.

🌈 From live music and family games to food, activities, our silent auction, and plenty of pony fun, there will be something for everyone!

RAIN OR SHINE, we will be having a rootin' tootin' good time Sunday so come on out!
