Today we are visiting with Pastors Florvilus and Hyppolite in their church in an area north of Port au Prince called Jerusalem. Planting a church here has been a 13 year process! They've just started meeting in this building a couple of weeks ago, and have a vision to start a school and orphanage here in the future.

This morning we made the hike in to Bas Morne-Fleury to see the church building, and hear from Pastors Andre and Rosemond about their desire and vision to plant a church here.

Encouraged by Pastor Clerzius building a relationship with Pastors Rosemond and Andre. Rosemond and Andre pastor a new church in a village area with about 3,000 people that had no church present at all before theirs!

We are very excited to be taking a small team from Unity Baptist Church in NC to consider further partnership with Horeb Rock Church in Cabaret, Haiti on this upcoming trip! Church partnerships are the foundation for how we desire to do missions.

In a little over a week we will be returning to Haiti with the purpose of encouraging our church partners there, and training and equipping pastors and church leaders. Our Haitian partners and friends were largely spared from any devastating effects from Hurricane Matthew, but they surely have family, friends, and contacts in the areas that were effected. Pray for us as we try to encourage and refresh them as they encourage and help others.
