With growing interest from our local community, we’re excited to invite you to an Open House at Squannacook River Sportsmen’s Club!

Join us at the Squannacook River Sportsmen’s Club for a fun-filled day of fishing at our Public Fishing Derby!

📅 Date: Sunday, May 3
📍 Location: Squannacook River Sportsmen’s Club
60 Warren Rd, Townsend, MA
🕖 Registration: Starts at 6:00 AM
🎣 Derby Time: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
💲 Entry Fee: $25 - $15 for kids under 15
🍳 Breakfast & Lunch Available
💰 Cash Prizes!

Our pond was stocked before the 4/26 Kids derby and will be stocked again on 4/28, so the fishing will be great!

Bring your gear, enjoy the outdoors, and compete for prizes—we hope to see you there!

Thank you very much to all of the volunteers who came out to the club today to help with the kids fishing derby! What a successful event! We had 77 happy kids attending today and we are very grateful for all of your support! Next weekend, we do it again at our public derby. Hope to see you all there

Our 3D archery shoot scheduled for this Sunday (3/8) has been canceled due to the excessive amount of snow on our course. Meeting is still on for tomorrow (3/7)

A reminder to all members and followers- our public ice fishing derby is tomorrow, 2/15, from 7 to 1. Registration starts at 6. Girl scout troop 65303 will be there from 11 to 1 selling cookies and our kitchen will be open. We hope to see you all there!

1/31 - 2/1 Event postponed, new date TBD

Due to the storm last weekend, and the possibility of another storm this weekend, we weren’t able to safely clear the pond enough to allow for adequate skating space.

We know many of you were looking forward to getting out on the ice, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Safety always comes first, and we didn’t want to open the pond without enough clear space for everyone to skate comfortably.
