THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 6TH ANNUAL JIM LANDI SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT!

What a day yesterday! We had great competition, plenty of laughs, and an amazing group of people coming together to support a great cause. Thanks to all of you, we raised OVER $6,000 to support first responders and their families through NEFRAF!

Let’s hear it for our tournament champions!

Congratulations to both teams! We hope you enjoyed the bragging rights. Townsend, we’re sure you’ll be looking for a rematch!

A HUGE thank you to the Landi, Bourque, and Flynn families for volunteering their time and jumping in wherever they were needed. From check-in and raffles to cooking and serving food, you helped keep everything running smoothly. We couldn’t do it without you!

And we need to give a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO Eric Fellows! Eric shows up to event after event to take his amazing photographs, capturing the people, moments, and memories that make these days so special. Yesterday, he went above and beyond by stepping in to help manage the tournament bracket when one of our teams didn’t show up. He didn’t just capture the day through his camera lens — he helped keep the day moving, too! Eric, we appreciate your generosity, your time, and everything you do for NEFRAF. You are truly one of a kind!

Thank you to all the teams who participated and brought the competition, sportsmanship, and fun. And to all of our incredible sponsors, thank you for your generosity and for helping us raise over $6,000 for our mission.

NEFRAF exists to help first responders and their families when they need it most. Every dollar raised and every volunteer hour makes a difference.

We are so grateful for this community and the people who continue to show up for one another.

TOMORROW’S THE DAY, PEOPLE! LET’S PLAY BALL!

The 6th Annual Jim Landi Softball Tournament is TOMORROW, and we’re ready for a day of big hits, questionable umpire calls, friendly trash talk, and some serious bragging rights!

THE GAME PLAN

8:00 AM – Registration opens

8:45 AM – Opening ceremonies

9:00 AM – FIRST PITCH!

When you arrive, find the registration desk to check in, sign your waiver, and grab your meal ticket.

Breakfast sandwiches will be available for $5! Because nobody should have to play softball on an empty stomach. Especially when there’s trash talk to deliver.

Chelmsford PD gets a first-round BYE! Enjoy the extra time to stretch, strategize, and watch everyone else work for it. Your time is coming!

Good luck to all our teams! Bring your A-game, your team spirit, and your best excuses for when that easy fly ball somehow hits the ground. We won’t judge… much.

Most importantly, we’re coming together to support NEFRAF and our mission to help first responders and their families when they need it most.

We’ve heard from A LOT of teams who say they’re registering… but we’re still waiting for you to actually do it! Apparently “I’ll sign up later” is the first responder version of “I’m on my way.”

Tuesday is the LAST DAY to register so we can get everything ready for Saturday, October 10th and we only have a couple of spots left!

IT STARTED WITH ONE OF OUR OWN.

Six years later, we’re still showing up.

The 6th Annual NEFRAF Softball Tournament is coming to Cow Pond Fields in Groton on Saturday, October 10th, and registration is officially OPEN!

What started as a softball tournament to help Townsend Police Officer Jim Landi and his family during his second double lung transplant has grown into something much bigger.

That first tournament raised $40,000 for Jim and his family. More importantly, it showed us what happens when a community comes together for one of its own.

That spirit became the New England First Responder Assistance Fund (NEFRAF) — an organization dedicated to helping first responders and their families when they need it most.

And now it’s time to do it all over again.

Come play. Come cheer. Come support. Come talk a little trash.
