Rest-Stop-Ranch is hiring a part-time Development Liaison.

Ten hours a week, $20–25/hour, hybrid, based here in Topsfield. You'd be building a development program from the ground up for a small organization that keeps every program free — Thursday Social, Memory Café in the Garden®, Garden Rx, Sunday Stroll — for long-term caregivers and the people they care for.

What the work actually looks like: Wednesday team meetings, 10am to noon. Garden tours along the half-mile of ADA-accessible trail for philanthropists, health care managers, and new members. Presentations to Essex County organizations that serve caregivers. Identifying grants, tracking what's working, and helping move us from a $75,000 operating budget toward $500,000 over three years.

We're looking for someone local who already knows Essex County — its donors, its sponsors, its long-term-care landscape. You might be early in your career or changing fields. A related degree or certificate (nonprofit management, fundraising, philanthropy, donor relations) and some volunteer experience behind you.

Six weeks of organizational downtime each year, three in summer and three around the holidays. You'd use your own phone and car. Spanish is a nice-to-have, not a requirement.

Rest-Stop-Ranch in Topsfield is hiring a part-time Development Liaison: 20 hours/week, $20–25/hour, hybrid, with Wednesday mornings on-site. Application deadline is July 27.
Since 2009 we've offered free respite programs for long-term caregivers and people with disabilities — an accessible arboretum with 70+ lilacs and 100+ roses, the Thursday Social, Memory Café in the Garden, and more. We're now a $75,000-a-year organization with a plan to reach $500,000 in three years, and we need someone to build the development program that gets us there: donors, members, grants, and corporate sponsors.
You'll need experience in nonprofit development, outreach, or corporate marketing/sales, and you should live within about 40 minutes of Topsfield.
