New Hope Food Pantry is blessing our community this Thanksgiving through the generosity of a donor that wishes to remain anonymous

Join us Saturday, November 21st from 9AM - 12PM at 404 SW Polk for a FREE Heat & Serve Full Course Thanksgiving Meal!

We’re giving away complete heat and serve THANKSGIVING meals to the first 150 families — each meal feeds 4 individuals!

This along with our regular distribution items

Turkey, Stuffing, Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy — all ready to heat and serve so you can enjoy more time with family!

What happens when a community decides to show up with LOVE?

Over 25 incredible volunteers from Nancy Perry Day of Giving poured into New Hope Food Pantry - Topeka, KS today and the generosity overflowed into our whole neighborhood!

In 98 DEGREE HEAT, they gave it everything they had:

🌳 Trimmed trees and opened up the area
🚶‍♀️ Removed grass from the sidewalks so our neighbors don't have to walk in the street anymore
✨ Power washed the entire building - it shines!
🌿 Removed ALL the ivy from the outside

This wasn't just a cleanup. This was dignity. This was safety. This was love made visible.

One person's idea to bless the community turned into a calculated effort of kindness that will impact hundreds of families who walk through our doors.

Under the Tarp

On the surface, this photo looks like someone left a tarp on our porch.

But underneath is a person. A neighbor. A child of God who is stranded, exposed, and carrying burdens deeper than hunger.

Yes, New Hope Food Pantry provides food. We’ll always make sure no one goes without a meal. But the needs we’re seeing out here go deeper than a box of groceries. They go deeper than shelter for a night.

This is what hopelessness looks like when no one’s watching. And it’s also what grace looks like when we _do_ watch. Because we’ve been blessed with this moment — to see the need, to sit with it, and to pray for more.

We’re praying for ways to extend our reach past meals, past shelter, to help elevate hopelessness. To walk with people, not just serve them. To be Living Water in the heat, in the cold, in the “in between” seasons.

We can’t meet every need alone. But with the generosity of our donors and the faithfulness of our God, we can keep showing up. Every meal is a start. Every prayer is a step. Every person under that tarp reminds us why we do this work.

WE DON’T DO THIS ALONE 🙌

We love working with our community partners to serve those who’ve fallen between blessing. Because even the birds have nests — and everyone deserves a place of hope.

Thank you Street Team Ministry for standing in the gap with us. And to the amazing volunteers who keep New Hope hopeful for our community members — you are the hands and feet of this work. Every shift, every smile, every bag packed makes a difference.

TOPEKA: THE HEAT IS DANGEROUS. LET’S BE LIVING WATER FOR EACH OTHER 💧🔥

With the severe heat advisory in effect, Street Team Ministry + New Hope Food Pantry - Topeka, KS opened our "LIVING WATER COOLING STATION" for anyone who needs relief.

Come cool down. Get COLD WATER + refreshments. No questions or judgment.

When: Wednesday - Friday, 12 NOON to 6PM

Where: New Hope Food Pantry, 404 SW Polk. Serving Topeka since 1981

WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP
The demand is high and our shelves are running low. Please donate:
- Sealed plastic bottled water
- Canned sodas, sports drinks, juice
- Any non-alcoholic canned/bottled beverages

Every bottle is literally life-saving right now. We do what is asked of us with every donation — keeping our neighbors safe, hydrated, and loved.

We have fresh locally raised produce today. Purchased by a generous donor. Fresh peaches, corn, squash, potatoes, onions and more. Please come out and be blessed. 9-12pm every 1st and 3rd Saturday

Along with Flint Hills Baptist Association, we’re grateful to recognize his service. Many pastors call him a friend, and he and Linda are a true blessing to so many.
