May 20, 2026, at approximately 2:31 a.m., Tomball firefighters were dispatched to the 2000 block of Winding Pines Dr. for reports of a residential structure fire believed to have been caused by lightning during overnight storms.

Tomball firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke and fire conditions. Fire crews were able to contain the fire damage to the attic, preventing extensive damage throughout the home.

Great job to all crews involved! 🚒

Units on scene included Tomball Battalion 1, Ladder 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, and Klein Fire Department Engine 36.
