It was club assembly day today! One of our honorary members Joan Hanak received her Paul Harris +2 and 3 Pins today. Also our Paul Harris raffle went almost a year before Kathleen Stefani won big today! Club President Nichoel Akers also presented final numbers for our Fish Fry which sets us up next year’s giving to our local area students and leadership programs!

We had a busy week this week! Fresh off the 5890 District Conference this past weekend, Past-President Dennis Wilkins presented the club with the District 5890 Medium-Sized Club of the Year Award. District Governor-Elect Camille Prentice Hamilton presented the club with a check for District Training the club held in April for all the Houston-Area clubs. Club member Jared Erdmann discussed an international service project the club can look forward to jumping into.

Our guest speakers this week were Tomball West High School Campus Athletic Coordinator James Williams, TISD Athletic Director Chris Scott, and Tomball West principal Kevin Williams.

Tonight Tomball Rotary Club was named Medium Sized Club of the Year by Rotary District 5890! This is only the second time this has happened in club history! Immediate Past President Dennis Wilkins accepted the award on behalf of the club. Also attending the Governor's Banquet from our club was President Elect Tom Gloyer, Jennifer Clark who is the district Chief of Staff for Assistant Governors and District Governor Elect Camille Prentice Hamilton. Such a great honor for our club!

Congratulations also to our Assistant Governor Chad G. Greer on being named Assistant Governor of the Year!

❤🤍💙Tomball Rotary Club hosted Honor Flight Houston Ambassador Bob Gebhard today to share the mission and they graciously presented us with a very generous donation!

Yesterday the club heard from Past-District Governor Bob Gebhard about Honor Flight Houston. This service pays for veterans from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam to travel to Washington DC and take tours of the monuments and museums. The special thing for the vets is they are welcomed at the airport to DC and the return flight home to Hobby by people lining the aisles thanking them for their service.

This past Wednesday the club presented the golf cart for this year’s raffle to Mr Rick Reyes who was lucky enough to snag the cart with a ticket purchased at the Tomball German Fest. Funny thing was the day of the raffle draw was his birthday!

At our meeting this week we had lots of guests and put a wrap on the Fish Fry event.

Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets and to those that attended the fish fry!!!

Now we get to focus on Camille Prentice Hamilton and her upcoming stint as District 5890 District Governor!
