Spring is officially in the air, and the Lakes Region is waking up! 🌸

Our wild neighbors are on the move again. Whether you’re a serious birder or just love a quiet morning walk, now is the perfect time to grab your binoculars. We’re starting to see loons returning to the lakes and woodcocks performing their sky dances in the evenings.

If you’re looking for some "hidden gem" spots to catch the action, we highly recommend checking out the Hoyt Wildlife Sanctuary in Center Harbor or the boardwalks at Chamberlain Reynolds Memorial Forest. They’re peaceful, beautiful, and great for spotting everything from songbirds to the occasional deer.

A friendly neighborhood reminder: as things warm up, our slow-moving friends like turtles are starting to cross the roads, and deer are more active near the wood line. Please keep an extra eye out while you’re driving! 🐢🦌
