With Father’s Day arriving this Sunday - this is to the dads who teach more than just how to ride.

Some of the best lessons in snowmobiling aren't found in an owner's manual. Many are learned when a dad shows the way or when he stops to point out fresh deer tracks in the snow. It continues when the respect for private land is taught, or how to lend a helpful hand to a stranded rider.

Every generation of riders begins with someone who puts your hands on the handlebars and then fully shares their passion for the sport. Great memories are made one snowy mile at a time.

To the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who introduce kids to the joy of winter, adventure, and the snowmobile community...thank you.

Happy Father's Day from the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association!

Last night at the regular board meeting for the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association, returning and newly elected Directors and Assistant Directors from Strafford, Merrimack, Rockingham, Grafton and Sullivan Counties were sworn in. These directors serve a 2 year term, and we split the counties on even and odd years. Next year - we will need to do this task with Cheshire, Carroll, Coos, Hillsborough, and Belknap Counties. Any directors not present at last night's meeting that still need to be sworn in will do so at our July meeting.

In the photo - Left to Right - Ron Bates, Aaron Gomo, Nathan Grace, Mark Pepper Sr., Jason Riley, Scott Palmer, Nick Bickford, and Russ Neal. Congrats one and all.

With last night's meeting Keith Bousquet and Deb Davis will be leaving the board, and we thank them for their service.

Jayne McCullock, Russ Davis, and Ev Ferrell were sworn in last night as Secretary, Vice-President, and President. Nigel Croxon, and Brian Labrie were unable to attend last night and will also perform their oath next month.

Tom Willand will be leaving his role as Immediate Past President and we thank him for his service to our organization.

As we approach Memorial Day Weekend, and the pursuits that will be enjoyed by us all - we should pause on Monday for those who lost their lives in service to our nation. The brave men and women from every branch of our military who gave their lives since its humble beginning 250 years ago are gone, but shall not be forgotten.

Since 1969—the year the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association was founded—thousands of American service members have continued to make the ultimate sacrifice while wearing the uniform. This is a true reminder of the high cost of freedom that still must be paid.

It is because of their unwavering courage and sacrifice that we are able to endure as a nation and enjoy the simple, beautiful pursuits that make life in our country and here in New Hampshire so special. This includes the freedom to head out onto the trails and share the sport of snowmobiling with our families and friends each winter.

On Monday, as we look at the flag, we honor those who are no longer with us but whose legacy lives on in the freedom we so deeply cherish.

In Remembrance.
