The September Sneak-Peak Sno-Traveler Is Here!

The Race Into Winter Edition of the Sno-Traveler is officially out, and this one is packed with horsepower, racing, stories, and plenty of reasons to start thinking about this fall!

Inside this issue:

We truly hope you enjoy this interactive experience! A mailed copy will be coming for our 2025/2026 season members. We are also working on direct e-mail of our future magazines to the membership. You'll also see it on social media, and partnered sites as well!

Sno-Traveler Club News Submission Link and Deadlines

The deadline for club news for the first “regular” issue of the Sno-Traveler is August 28. The production timeline for this issue is very short. If you can get your submission to us by August 21, it will give us additional time to prepare, edit and lay out your news.

So far, we’ve received submissions from five clubs. As always, when planning your stories, think about when readers will actually be seeing the issue and tailor your content accordingly.

Sno-Traveler deadlines
August 28 - arrives late September / early October
October 23 - arrives for Thanksgiving / early December
December 18 - arrives for late January/early February

Grass Drags special issue update: The special issue has been sent to the printer for scheduling into the print run, and the e-copy flipbook should be available this week. Printed copies are expected to arrive in mailboxes around the beginning of September.

Wonderful visit today at the Deerfield Fairgrounds with our friends from the Southern New Hampshire Snow Slickers (SNHSS), who were hosting their annual car show, and the Northwood Crank Pullers, who held their annual vintage snowmobile show. The NH Snowmobile Museum was there, too!

With beautiful weather providing the backdrop, there was plenty to see, from classic cars and trucks to vintage snowmobiles. Here are a few great shots from a fantastic day at the fairgrounds! There were just too many cars, trucks, and sleds, to show them all here.

Our clubs are always finding creative and unique ways to raise funds, support their communities and keep their organizations thriving. That is what makes our snowmobile club network so special.

The 2026/2027 membership season is fully underway. Join one of our great clubs and help support the people who keep the trails, traditions and fun moving forward!

Our friends at the Mountain Meadow Riders Snowmobile Club gathered this evening in Conway, NH, to celebrate the people who make snowmobiling possible: their dedicated volunteers and generous landowners.

Founded in 1990, the club took time to recognize the countless hours of hard work, commitment, and cooperation that go into maintaining their trail system year after year. The evening featured a barbecue, a few friendly games of co****le, and plenty of stories celebrating the club's past while looking ahead to an exciting future.

The Mountain Meadow Riders are a great example of what makes New Hampshire's snowmobile clubs so special. Across the state, our clubs work year round to clear trails, maintain bridges, groom routes, organize events, and build relationships with the landowners who make our trail network possible. Their efforts create the outstanding riding experience we all enjoy every winter.

The 2027 NHSA membership season is now underway! If you haven't joined yet, there's no better time to support the club that keeps your favorite trails open. Follow the link below to find the club that's right for you and become part of New Hampshire's snowmobiling community.

A few great shots of the NH Fish and Game Day at Camp Sno-Mo. The work done by Easterseals to provide an opportunity for the kids to have a great camping experience is easy to see. The association and its member clubs have been raising money for Camp Sno-mo since the early 1970's, and in that time more than $4 million has been raised to help make a difference. We are fortunate in Granite State to have great friends in our state agencies like the State of NH Trails Bureau and NH Fish and Game that also believe in this incredible effort.

Jim Strickland honored by State of NH Trails Bureau

Chief Craig Rennie, District Supervisor Shawn Violette, and Margaret Morrison of the New Hampshire Trails Bureau traveled to downtown Marlow on Wednesday morning to visit longtime snowmobile volunteer and friend, Jim Strickland. Joining them was Terry Callum, Executive Director of SledNH.

Jim is a founding member of the Hidden Valley Sno-Riders and served the club as an officer for many years. His commitment to organized snowmobiling extended well beyond his hometown. At the state level, Jim served on the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association Board of Directors and spent several decades as the Grant-in-Aid Advisor for Sullivan County, helping clubs navigate the program and advocating for trail funding and development.

Jim's dedication to New Hampshire's snowmobile trail system has left a lasting impact, not only in Sullivan County but across the Granite State. Through his leadership, knowledge, and willingness to help others, he has supported clubs and volunteers over the years.

The visit served as a small token of appreciation for his many years of volunteer service and the many contributions Jim has made to New Hampshire snowmobiling.

Volunteers like Jim Strickland are the foundation of our trail system. Across New Hampshire, it is the dedication, passion, and countless hours donated by volunteers that keep trails open, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. Their work truly makes the difference.

Membership Camping Comes to Race into Winter

We're excited to announce that the Town of Fremont and Race Into Winter have reached an agreement to allow Membership Camping for this year's event!

As a benefit of being a member of a club through the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association, you'll have the opportunity to apply for one of our limited membership camping sites and stay right in the heart of the action all weekend long.

This is not volunteer or racer camping, this is a spectator based experience available to members.

Here's what you need to know:

*Limited to 75 campsites, only one per membership
*If selected you must purchase one site
*Site includes first 2 wristbands
*Maximum of 6 attendees in one site
*Application submissions will open July 15
*Application submission is not a guarantee of a site at the event
*Available only to members (2025 voucher will be accepted)

Membership camping is one more way we're able to give back to our members and enhance the Race Into Winter experience.
