The Women’s Giving Circle of the Adventist Health Columbia Gorge Foundation recently announced grants totaling $15,140 in support of three local nonprofits.
A gift of $2,500 was awarded to Bountiful Blessings, a volunteer‑run free clothing closet serving individuals and families in need. This contribution will help the organization continue providing essential clothing items, ensuring community members have access to year‑round, no‑cost support.
Another $2,500 was granted to The Next Door Inc. to support its Community Health Workers who assist vulnerable families. These funds will help ensure affected families have access to critical resources — including housing support, food, transportation, and social services — during unexpected and destabilizing circumstances.
The largest gift — $10,140 — went to the Columbia Gorge Humane Society to bolster security at the organization’s facility. The Humane Society has recently experienced break‑ins targeting returnable can collections, which are its largest source of funding. The Women’s Circle donation will help secure their property and protect this vital revenue stream, supporting the care and safety of local animals.
The Women’s Giving Circle is a collective of like‑minded women dedicated to magnifying their philanthropic influence. By pooling annual membership dues, (at either $500 or $240 per year) the group makes high‑impact investments in local nonprofits that uplift the Columbia Gorge community. The Women’s Giving Circle is one arm of the Adventist Health Columbia Gorge Foundation, which supports patient assistance, scholarships/training, community health initiatives and the needs of the local hospital. Through philanthropic partnerships and donor‑supported programs, the foundation advances the health and wholeness of the communities it serves.
