Come for a supersized version of the classic show-and-tell that kids love so much! We’re inviting Andy Plymate from Bridge City Blades to demonstrate his incredible swordsmanship! Bridge City Blades looks to centuries-old manuals teaching fencing skills for the battlefield and Sala alike. They embrace rich traditions, the living history, and get a little sweaty in the process! After the demonstration, kids will be able to ask questions and see the gear that Andy brought along! We will also have a craft station where kids can make their own sword and shield!

Emoji Improv is a fun, welcoming acting program where kids build confidence, creativity, and communication skills through theatre games, improvisation, storytelling, and imaginative play. No acting experience is needed. Every activity helps children think on their feet, work as a team, solve problems creatively, and express themselves in a supportive environment where every idea is valued. Whether your child loves performing or is simply looking for a place to build confidence and make new friends, Emoji Improv gives kids the chance to laugh, create, and discover just how capable they are.

Starting in September, we're creating a monthly Book Kit Bundle! Book Kit Bundles will include one book (for you to keep!), activities, crafts, and other fun oddments themed to that month's book. We want kids to get excited about reading, and what better way than these hand-curated kits!

Book kits are created by age group, with each month tailored to a different age. One kit per family, as there are limited kits.

Kids who read the book of the month have the option to write a letter to the kid librarian about the book! Turn it in, and win a prize!

Come celebrate 85 years of Woody Guthrie’s Columbia River songs with an evening of music, history, and stories!

Join us at the library for a special program featuring Bill Murlin & Libby Burke, exploring the fascinating history of Woody Guthrie’s music and his connection to the Columbia River.

Bill Murlin is a musician and historian who helped rediscover and preserve many of Guthrie’s lost Columbia River songs, while Libby Burke brings her own love of Woody Guthrie’s music and storytelling to the evening.

🎵 Expect songs, stories, history, and plenty of opportunities to sing along!
